This is my aunt's work. It is called 'Honseojibo'(혼서지보). It is used in Korean traditional wedding. It's kind of an envelope. The family of groom and the family of bride give and take the letter putting into this envelope. It is made by using only one fabric, not by doing patchwork which is made by connecting the pieces of different fabric. It is related to the superstition that the patchwork means divorce because the fabric is devided in many scraps.
