Voluntary Public Acts and Sevices

I came across a church group on the subway to Leeum. They where very helpful and gave me some free tea and Kleenex. I wonder if the Silver Caps and them ever combine efforts. Either way, its interesting to see the variety of voluntary community service happening in and around Seoul. I like the fact that Seoulites (especially older Seoulites) are actively seeking to build, strengthen, and preserve communities through public acts and services. I also like that they wear uniforms while performing their duties—it gives the whole affair an added level of commitment and seriousness.
