I have no memory of Earth in 1969 because i didn't exist yet...however, listening to this report makes 20 July mean something to me. It's a shared historic event in our human history. Like our planet's fragile atmosphere, our thin memories of life are regulated by oceans of time...Some people say time heals everything...i think it's true... time distants us from events so that we could understand an event as if viewing it through the astronaut's eyes... I agree with Jean Clervoy... simply being curious to explore ourselves and this world gives meaning to our lives because "the quest for knowledge is humankind's destiny"..

The clip reminded me of a question a friend asked me few days ago, which i didn't have an answer. The question was, "How do i know if i spent my 24 hours wisely?"

I think now i have some reply...When i can't decide whether i should do something or be in a situation, i ask myself: "Does it makes the world or myself a better place?" Does spending my time like that, creating work like this, or treating someone like that ...makes the world better? Or does it pollute my mind, brings me further from the goodness in me?

Being alive in 2009 but not in 1969 is a beautiful miracle-mystery to me... where was i in 1969? i think it doesn't matter, and this feeling of how some questions need no answer gives me a feeling of peace and calm... perhaps it doesn't matter, too, where i will be in 2069...i just would like to remember as long as i can, where i was in 2009... -- yannling
